ABSTRACT
This article reports that Indian isopropyl alcohol import prices surged in June 2006 due to an unexpected shutdown at the country's sole producer. Reliance Industries shut its plant at Mumbai, Maharashtra state, due to technical problems. Firming propylene feedstock prices also supported the strengthening IPA values.
