The article reports that the use modern nanotechnology has expanded to multifunctional coatings. Mercedes-Benz cars sport a nanoparticle-clear coat, offering improved shine and scratch-resistance. Nanocoatings are also used by the military. As well as Improving visibility, the nanocoating is antimicrobial, preventing mould and bacterial growth.
