ABSTRACT
The article reports that Cargill has purchased a stake in Brazilian sugar and ethanol producer Central Energetica Vale do Sapucai. Cargill has analyzed the sugar and alcohol industry in Brazil and has found that becoming more active is a logical step for the company to expand its sugar and ethanol business and participate in the growth of the promising sector, according to Cargill president Sergio Barroso.
