The article focuses on military helicopters. The limitations of helicopters in the world of combat aviation are discussed. Information about the dangers associated with man-portable air-defence systems is presented. The action taken by the Russian Mil Design Bureau to extend the operational life of the Mi-24V/Mi-24P is discussed.
