This article reports on the decision of the government of Zimbabwe to offer its farms back to white farmers who were expelled from the country in 2000. The move is an attempt to restore some of the economic damage caused by severe food shortages resulting from shortages of seeds and fertilisers and lack of expertise among landless black peasants who took over the commercial farms.
