ABSTRACT
The article focuses on educational program of the Indian antipoverty group Seva Mandir. The program teaches math, reading and writing in Hindi to children ages 7 to 10. The main problem of the group involves teachers. The Indian government and private institutions support the program of the group. The strategies used by the group to prevent teacher absenteeism are discussed.
