This article reports on the growth posted by the global contract logistics sector in 2006, according to Transport Intelligence's new study. Research showed that the market grew by 10.3% to reach €117 billion, with all regions contributing. However, more established markets such as the U.S. also saw exceptional rates of development driven by a strong economy and distribution of imported consumer goods. It also forecasts that the global market will show compound annual growth of 13.8% between 2005 and 2009.
