Portfolio expands with Time reporter

His appointment comes amid reports Portfolio also made an attempt to sign Bethany McLean, a reporter of the periodical "Fortune." Meanwhile, this new business journal recently named its managing editor, Rick Stengel, who will replace Jim Kelly.
