'Hairspray' up next for 'School' boy

The article reports that actor Zac Efron is set to play a major role in the film "Hairspray," under the direction of Adam Shankman for New Line Cinema Corp. Shankman hopes that Efron would not be replicating a wholesome image he had been portraying in his previous Walt Disney film roles. "Hairspray" will be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. It is set to start its shooting process on September 5, 2006.
