The article focuses on the courses offered by Harry Mitchell College in China. The courses have been specifically designed to meet the demand to equip Chinese nationals with the skills to quantify work content and improve processes. Chinese customers have embraced modern methods to add to their traditional skills and recognized the advantage of having work measurement. A further objective of the courses was to develop core teams of personnel with industrial engineering skills to drive continuous improvement and swiftly bring about any necessary organizational change. Similar courses have been delivered in Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, Malaysia, Czech Republic and the U.S. Much of the college's course material and exercises have been translated in other languages to meet the delivery requirements at further international venues.
