The article features independent retail store owners who attended the Food Marketing Institute Show in Chicago, Illinois. Third-generation grocer Ignacio Fimbres is honored to lead Tijuana, Mexico-based Calimax Supermarkets, which was founded by his grandfather. Mark and Tina Reddrrop run five FoodWorks stores in Australia. Rex Stewart is one of the owners of New Leaf Community Markets, headquartered in Santa Cruz.
