ABSTRACT
The article discusses the issue on radioactive contamination or fall-out from thermonuclear explosions, the third part of a series. The author explains his previous calculations, emphasizes the persistence of radioactive fall-out, and outlines the problems involved in internal hazards from fission products. Moreover, he estimates the global contamination hazard from the test program and evaluates the radiation danger from a global nuclear war. The author also explains that 1,500 superbombs of 20 megaton power could produce global contamination to the extent that the dose rate would just that stipulated for workers in atomic laboratories.
