ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the economic and political conditions of Michigan during the Republican administrations. According to the article, the administration of Governor Frank Fitzgerald is characterized by rampant gambling, which had been predicted. When Fitzgerald died and Luren Dickinson succeeded him, gambling and social problems have worsened because he fails to see them in their social contexts.
