ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the study conducted by the U. S. Government Accountability Office The study, which aimed at the U. S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assessed that taxpayers who called the agency for some tax-law related inquiry received accurate answers, but waited longer to hear them. They also have waited an average of 4.4 minutes to speak with a customer service representative. This indicates a 10 percent increase compared in the 2004 data.
