ABSTRACT
This article announces that China Earthquake Administration (CEA) has chosen SUSE Linux Enterprise Server from Novell as its operating platform for its Digital Earthquake Observation Network. CEA said that the network encompasses 41 national, provincial and metropolitan-level seismographic centers and 360 stations for large cities. The decision to select SUSE Linus Enterprise Server was made after CEA conducted several benchmark tests among various Linux distributions available in China.
