ABSTRACT
This article announces that Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Co., a mutual fund company that offers a broad array of insurance products and services is using Oracle Database 10g on Suse Linux. The database software from Oracle will enable the mutual fund company to achieve a ten times increase in performance while significantly reducing infrastructure costs. The mutual fund company faces the challenge of reporting across a number of disparate data sources. Early this year, it migrated its data warehouse from Oracle Database 9i to Oracle Database 10g in order to create primary data source for its business intelligence processes.
