ABSTRACT
The article focuses on actress Geena Davis, the star of the TV series Commander in Chief. Having recently turned 50, she is now celebrating the sort of personal milestones that most women mark in their 30s. Married to Reza Jarrahy, an Iranian-American neurosurgeon 15 years her junior, she became a mother for the first time at the age of 46. Just as her personal life was falling into place, her dormant career got a wake-up call when she was offered the role of Mackenzie Allen, the first female U.S. president, on the TV drama Commander in Chief. The drama became the most watched new show of 2005 in the U.S.
