ABSTRACT
The article reports that Chevron Corp. is planning to investment in ethanol plants. It is considered that the plan would make Chevron the first Big Oil company in 26 years to invest in U.S. production of the corn-based gasoline additive. According to Donald Paul, the company's chief technology officer, the company is studying the potential of building large ethanol distilleries, which would lower production costs and offer the refiner/marketer a steady supply of ethanol.
