Industrial Production Down 0.1%; Capacity Dips to 81.7%

The article reports on the status of industrial production in the U.S. in May 2006. For the first time in four months, industrial production declined, which was driven by decreases in mining, manufacturing and construction output. The overall 0.1 percent decline followed an unrevised 0.8 percent rise in April, a revised 0.5 percent rise in March and an unrevised 0.4 percent rise in February.
