ABSTRACT
This article reports that profile extruder Railing Dynamics Inc. has diversified into wood-polypropylene composites with the introduction of Novaline. The Millville, New Jersey, firm has begun shipping Novaline railings after a 17-year history of extruding vinyl railings and porch products (PP). It claims Novaline, its first wood-containing railing product, can be painted and stained without any special surface preparation. Railing Dynamics spokeswoman Carol Lyn Groce said her company makes the product, containing 75 percent oriented long-strand wood fiber encased in PP, in the same Millville factory as it makes vinyl profiles.
