ABSTRACT
The article reports on the ruling of U.S. District Judge in Delaware Gregory Sleet denying motions filed by Synopsys in a patent infringement case against Magma Design Automation. The motions filed by Synopsys aimed to dismiss Magma's claims and to consider the antitrust and patent infringement claims in the case separately. The court granted a motion filed by Magma to include four additional counterclaims against Synopsys over patent infringement. It also discusses claims filed by the companies against one another.
