The article present information on the study entitled Indoor Air Chemistry: Cleaning Agents, Ozone and Toxic Air Contaminants, conducted by researchers from the University of California, Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the US. The study has found that many common household cleaners and air fresheners emit toxic pollutants at levels that may lead to health risks. The authors claim that the study is the first to measure emissions and concentrations of primary and secondary toxic compounds produced by cleaners and air fresheners under typical indoor conditions. INSETS: COURT IN THE ACT;WHAT THE RESEARCH LOOKED AT;SUBSTANCES OF CONCERN.
