Reports on the plan of Laffans Petrochemicals Ltd., a producer and exporter of surfactants, glycol ethers and brake fluids, to set up a plant for the manufacture of high value specialty amines, including N-methyldiethanolamine (MDA). Use of MDA for the removal of corrosive sulphur impurities in the gas and oil refining industry; Demand for MDA in the Indian refinery industry; Expansion of the company to produce Tris (2-hydroxyethyl) Isocyanurate used in the wire emulsion industry.
