Davenport joined Morrison Restaurants in 1973, working in the healthcare division, which had about 50 accounts. He guided the company through a separation from Morrison Restaurants that made Morrison Healthcare a public company in 1996, and stayed on as CEO during Compass Group's acquisition of Morrison in 2001.
