ABSTRACT
The article discusses the significant changes in the global entertainment company Endemol which has tapped Elias Rodriguez-Vina Cancio from the parent company Telefonica to sit as its new CEO. According to some insiders, the appointment of Cancio, which is still subject for approval by the shareholders, will boost the possibility of management buyout. Endemol then will be subjected for a takeover since Telefonica offloaded 23.3 percent of the company in November.
