ABSTRACT
The article discusses the launch of Lux Cinema by the Spanish real estate developer GMR along with its plans to institute 16 new cinemas within the span of three years. The investment for this project amounted to $34 million which are currently channeled through its mainstream subsidiary Cinebox. However, it has faced an issue as to whether it will realize the purpose of building cinemas or it will just build the value for its exhibition investments.
