The article discusses the development of the Simplicity Lift Ramp, a steel ramp system with an electric-powered automated lift, by Raase Lifts Inc. in the disabled physical therapy equipment industry in the U.S. The idea of creating the device came from the company owner Richard Raab who has a daughter with cerebral palsy who uses a wheelchair. The device is specifically made for the purpose of making elevated areas accessible for people with disabilities who uses wheelchairs.
