ABSTRACT
The article highlights the premier showing of Elliot Goldenthal's opera "Grendel" after a two-week delay caused by a malfunctioning set. Goldenthal, director Julie Taymor and star Eric Owens were greeted with a standing ovation. A cast supper was held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Other celebrities who watched the premier were Emmy Rossum, John Williams, Marilyn and Alan Bergman.
