ABSTRACT
The article discusses the factors, which determine the moral standards of children. Character education became one of the major problems of teachers. A prominent individual mentioned that character education should be left to the responsibility of the children's home and church while another stated that character education should also be developed in school. Moreover, the determination of child's moral standards is also one of the aspects of the problem of character education. A research study was conducted in order to determine what influences a child's moral standards focusing on the child's moral standards and its relation to the child's intelligence rating.
