The article reports that Jean Picker Firstenberg is stepping down as CEO of the American Film Institute following the celebration of the institute's 40th anniversary. Firstenberg plans to travel, write, consult, and continue to be an advocate for the art and artists of film and television. It was during her tenure that the institute expanded its founding missions to train the next generation of moviemakers and preserve the country's film heritage.
