The article features Belgian woman poet Anne-Marie Kegels. She was born in France but lived most of her life in Belgium. After marrying Joseph Kegels, she lived in Antwerp, then in Brussels for some time. In Arlon, she became a contributor to local cultural magazines. Throughout her adult life, Kegels remained active in the literary world, and her writings gained recognition abroad through translations into English, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian. Her poetry reflects her own life and personal feelings.
