ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the makeover of AB Volvo's engine plant in Hagerstown, Maryland. The plant will improve its domestic production of the D-11, D-12, D-13, and D-16 engines for Volvo Trucks North America Inc. Volvo engines were also manufactured for Mack Trucks Inc. One specific change is the manufacture of robotic automated guide vehicles, which are programmed with all the engine's details.
