ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of coffeehouse operator Starbucks Corp. to venture into the bookselling business in the U.S. The company will start selling two children's audiobooks from Random House Inc. by August 2006. The two audiobooks both narrated by actress Meryl Streep, "The Velveteen Rabbit" and "The Night Before Christmas," will be sold exclusively at Starbucks' 5,100 company-owned U.S. stores before it will be made available through other retailers.
