ABSTRACT
This article looks at the machines unveiled by JBC at Intermat. On the opening day of Intermat, JCB unveiled even mofre new machines among its 250 exhibits. One of the most eye-catching was its new top-weight 726 articulated dump truck, which has a 14.1m sup 3 /23.6t payload capacity, and a 227kW engine driving 6x6 transmission. New to the backhoe range is the 4CX TM, which is fitted with a telescopic loader arm that can lift 2.5t to a height of more than 5m. Other backhoe innovations on show were the Midi CX (3.9t) and a 4x4 version of its Mini CX. Added to the company's wheel loader range was the JCB 422 -- its first model in the 90kW to 100kW market -- which shares the larger cab and enhanced lifting capacities of the recently introduced 426 and 436.
