Solutia is raising European, Middle East and African prices for its Ascend and Vydyne polyamide 66 resins by €200/tonne. Akzo Nobel is implementing a temporary price increase of €22/tonne and $27.50/tonne for both MCAA, basis 100% and SMCA from July 1 until December 31, 2006. Ticona is raising the prices of polyacetal, polyester products and polyphenylene sulphide in Europe, Africa and the Middle East Products affected include Hostaform, Celanex and Impet which will all rise by €200/tonne starting June 1, 2006.
