ABSTRACT
The article reports that Chevron has joined a consortium that will more than double the current production of biodiesel in the U.S. as of May 2006, with the construction of a unit in Texas. Through its subsidiary, Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV), the firm has taken an equity share in Galveston Bay Biodiesel (GBB) and will build a 100 million gallon/year biodiesel plant and distribution facility in Galveston, Texas.
