ABSTRACT
The article reports that the music company EMI Group, under its chairman Eric Nicoli, has resumed its pursuit of acquiring Warner Music. EMI Music and EMI Music Publishing both posted record profits in the year to March 31, 2006. Digital music sales doubled. Warner Music Chairman Edgar Bronfman Jr. rejected EMI Group's previous offer. The best-performing EMI musicians are listed.
