ABSTRACT
The article reports on the market performance of cellular telephone service providers in the U.S. in 2005. There were about 26 million new customers for wireless networks in 2005 according to the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association. 70% of industry gross addition during 2005 came from other wireless carriers according to the annual report of Cingular Wireless. Verizon Wireless had cut its average monthly churn to 1.3 percent in 2005.
