ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the approval given by the U.S. House Appropriation Committee to collect an 8 percent tax on all out-of-country bank wire transfers, with the proceeds designated for building a wall at the border in Arizona. The proceeds from wire transfers are estimated to reach up to $80 million annually. The punitive tax is reported to affect law-abiding residents and citizens in the state.
