ABSTRACT
The article profiles April Welch, director of merchandising for Cochrane Furniture. She started as a stylist when furniture photography specialist Alderman Studios opened in Lenoir, North Carolina. According to her, the experience introduced her to a whole new world. She began a career in retail furniture sales at Blowing Rock Furniture in North Carolina in 1985 and joined Cochrane Furniture in 1999 as manager for upholstery.
