The article discusses the rug business founded by Connie K. Duckworth for the benefit of Afghan women and their families. Duckworth was a former managing director of the company Goldman Sachs. In August 2003, she started an organization called Arzu as a tax-exempt charity in Afghanistan. Arzu acts as a link between Afghan weavers and U.S. rug buyers.
