The article focuses on the increase in the demand of ethanol fuel from every sector of the economy in the U.S. The Production of ethanol is expected to reach 5 billion gallons this year, up from 3.9 billion gallons in 2005. Nevertheless, demand has outpaced production since last June, said Carole Jordan, director, rural development, marketing, research and legislative issues for the Kansas Department of Agriculture. President of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America, Dan Gilligan, said that it seems to be quite difficult for the industry to meet the demands and expectations.
