ABSTRACT
This article presents information about the author's daughter who was affectionate of animals since birth. According to the author, from her napkin to her sneakers, everything she owned sported at least one teddy bear, chick, or a duck. She refused to go to school, if she was not accompanied by a feathered companion before she left the house. On Saturdays, she did not love to go to the local zoo, but liked to visit the Dickerson Zoo, Springfield, Missouri. With the most lenient standards, its offerings were pretty paltry. Information on the specialties of the zoo is also offered in the article.
