Montgomery County, Md. to Vote on Budget, Spending Plan

The article reports that the Montgomery County, Maryland, council is expected to finalise a fiscal 2007 operating budget and a six-year capital spending plan that will raise the amount of debt the triple-A-rated county issues in the next three years. Under the $2.8 billion six-year capital spending plan there will be issuance of about $264 million in general obligation debt in each of fiscal years 2007, 2008, and 2009. The county will sell the transportation revenue bonds in two $40 million issuances, said a source who works on the capital spending plan.
