ABSTRACT
The article reports on an Energy Saving Trust (EST) round table of architects which discussed the issue of sustainability in Great Britain. EST is a government agency established after the 1992 Rio Summit to reduce carbon emissions. It sets energy-efficiency regulations through voluntary codes. However, participants in the round table agreed that regulation alone will not sway public opinion and that more creative ideas are required. INSET: Ideas from the EST round table.
