The article reports that the outstanding general obligation bonds of Desert Sands Unified School District in California has been upgraded by Moody's Investors Service Inc. to Aa3 from A1. New construction and renovation projects throughout the district will be funded by the new-money portion of the current offering. The improved socioeconomic profile of the district has also contributed to the upgrade.
