ABSTRACT
The article presents several proverbs and views of various individuals on the beauty of women. Playwright Oscar Wilde said that to be beautiful is better than to be good but to be good is better than to be ugly. Journalist Julie Burchill mentions that beauty is a visa. According to an English proverb, a poor beauty finds much lovers than husbands.
