ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the investment of big private equity firms in the Asian region in March 2006. Blackstone invests $1 billion in India while Kohlberg Kravis Roberts opened an office in Hong Kong, China in 2005. The amount of money raised for Asian investment reached up to $17.6 billion, according to Centre for Asia Private Equity Research. The data for some of the biggest private equity transactions made in 2005 is presented.
