ABSTRACT
The article reports on the upgrading of the long-term underlying rating by the Standard & Poor for the Palo Alto Unified School District to AA-plus from AA. This had affected roughly 116 million dollar of outstanding general obligation debt of the company. According to the agency, the upgrade is attributed from the voters' recent approval of a ballot measure to increase a parcel tax on property.
