Career developments involving firefighters in the United States are discussed. Ruben Grijalva was appointed as director and Crawford Tuttle as chief deputy director of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. George S. Rice Jr. has been named as the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International's executive director. Kevin Miller has been selected chief of the Raymond Fire Department in New Hampshire.
